John McAllister – Director of Logistics Services

Mr. John McAllister, Director, Logistics Services.  Mr. John McAllister is a retired USAF logistician with more than 35 years managing transportation and distribution services. During his military career, he held a wide variety of positions ranging from transportation fleet management to working major DoD transportation and logistics projects while stationed at the Pentagon and with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).  In his final assignment prior to retirement, John was the Transportation Division Chief, Defense Depot Warner Robins, GA, where he managed the movement of more than 21,000 shipments monthly while supervising 113 personnel. Under his management, Warner Robins was the first Defense Logistics Depot (DLA) to ship all high priority material by commercial air to overseas, reducing transportation time by 25 percent.  He also developed the first and only deferred air program to expedite the movement of routine shipments overseas, thereby reducing transit times from 45 to 10 days while saving nearly $3,000 per month. Upon retirement he continued his transportation and logistics career in the civilian sector building each company by applying his transportation expertise, working with strategic partners, and expanding services to include 3rd party logistics support.  Among notable accomplishments, he managed more than 73 employees and more than .5M square feet of warehouse with an inventory worth more than $1B for the US Army’s Rapid Fielding Initiative in support deploying units overseas.  His Military awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Meritorious Service Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters; Air force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award with One Oak Leaf Cluster Air Force Outstanding Unit Award; Air Force Organizational Excellence Award; and National Defense Service Medal
